[Opinions] 2012 Montana, USA BAs
These BAs come from a year at a hospital in south-central Montana, USA. No surnames are included; if it looks like the name ends in a surname, that's a middle name. I've included genders on the ones that seemed confusing to me, or where I had to look. Enjoy!Russell Stonewall

Some of those are just awful. I wonder if Alder Ann was in reference to the planet Alderaan in Star Wars, heehee.

Kaiser Von Roland. "Emperor Of Roland". I think there must have been some major geopolitical changes going on that simply escaped me. So there is now a country called Roland and it has an emperor? Where exactly is this place?Me and my ignorance: Alder Ann and Rueby Louise made me giggle. "Alder, Ann!" translates to something like "Dude, Ann!" in my mother tongue, while "Rueby Louise" would be something like "little turnip/carrot Louise".Jaesca Wraeyn. What's Wraeyn? And how is it pronounced? Like some mash-up of Wren and Rain?Baylne Alfred Dewalt. And how on earth is Baylne pronounced?Micah Fayeth (f). What's Fayeth? A mash-up of Faye and Faith?Loik Leonard (supposed to be Loki? was "Loik" three times on the website).
I looked up Loik. Seems to be a variant of Loïc (Loic) and Loig. Around 700 men of this name were born in France in the past 50 years.Ezra Raye (f) *grimace*
Well, does it lessen the pain if I tell you that Esra is a quite popular Turkish girls' name and that some Turkish name sites claim that Ezra is either a variant thereof or else a girls' name with a different etymology? I don't speak Turkish, though, so I can't confirm any of this. Still, would be a nice thought, wouldn't it? ;)Annabelle Lee. I always found this name to be incredibly anticlimactic. Fitting for the poem and its atmosphere, sure, but... yeah.
I actually like Elsa Frances, Ruth Josephine and Maple Anne.

question for PantheraVirgoIs this a list of all the babies born at the hospital in 2012?Or is this a partial list? When I think of it as a list of all the babies born in 2012, it seems it surely can't be. They are almost all so ... bad. But then there is the occasional name that is decent, such as Elsa Frances or Jane Carol. But then if I think of it as a selected list of names that stood out as, to put it kindly, unusual, why would the "decent" ones be there? So which is it?? For the sake of my sanity, I'm hoping it's just a selected list. Surely the world couldn't have gone this far off-plumb.

I want to know too!"Surely the world couldn't have gone this far off-plumb." heehee!

Jane Carol and Ruth Josephine got lucky. Ryenne Dace, Dalli Jo and poor little Breckyn Ry didn't.In fact, it looks like the Year of the Josephines in Montana.

Squeaking mountains and Purple bagsSome comments:
Russell Stonewall - STONEWALL? Eh. OK.
Eliana Aspen - Eliana is beautiful, but Aspen...let's hope she won't be...what's the English word...well-endowed? "Hey, lookit Aspen's mountains, guys!" ;)
Syona Amelie - Amelie is beautiful, but Syona sounds like an inert gas...
Lila Karsen - you know what? If you change R in Karsen into S, this name means "the purple bag" in Swedish (bag as in plastic bag or a simple fabric bag)!
Elijah William Kennith - ohh, why ruin this with "Kennith"!?
Deacon Wilder - so, what made the deacon wilder? Tee hee
Aida - padam padam padam...*sings aria*
Sterling Nitro - sounds like a car
Alyxcia Monique - argh!
Kinzley Michael (f) - on a GIRL!? For heaven's sake, no!
Sonia James - an intersexual kid?
Strider Marnell - yeah, howdy, so kewl
Lila Labrie - one word: STRIPPER
Piper Berget (f) - this made me laugh so hard! It means "does the mountain squeak?" in Swedish!
Lorraine Candece - I would have preferred Lorina Cadence
Elsa Frances and Colter William - I don't like Colter, but good all in all
Jael Christine - prefer the spelling Yael, but nice
Addycen Jean - jeah wi're zo krieyghityv!
Ruth Josephine - good
Oly Louis - looks like "oily Louis"
Lorelei Rose - sweet. But Rose is a bit of a filler
Baylne Alfred Dewalt - Baylne? Dewalt? What's that?
Giuliana Armida - sweet
Liam Leonidas - bad combo
Crew Sloan - horrible combo
Bentley Holbrook - "hey, I bent the whole brook!"
Milana Vladimira - beautiful
Kira Evellette - I like Kira, but what the heck is Evellette?
Annabelle Lee - sweet. Poe fans, I guess!
Kaiser Von Roland - jeez....
Merlin Joel - very strange comno
Fletcher Cain - Fletcher sounds like butcher...and come one, Cain was the first murderer, according to the Bible...
Zephyrne Alexandra - would have been so beautiful if it was Zephyrine!
Kwinz Snow - what the heck is that? A very icy quince?
Huntyr Maze - a very misspelled kind of labyrinth where people run around with guns?

Russell Stonewall: Russell is nice, but Stonewall is kind of dumb. Also the combo reminds me of Russell Stover candy.
Rigly Noraa: Very gummy and wriggly. Also what's with that useless a on Nora?
Deacon Wilder: Naming a kid Deacon is like naming him Mister or Professor.
Sterling Nitro (oh, heavens) Oh heavens is right. Explosive Silver?
Alyxcia Monique (…what?) They just wanted to be yooneek.
Kinzley Michael (f) They don't sound too sure.
Sonia James These people aren't sure either. Hedging their bets.
Jax Cade: Very drugstore-romance-novel.
Strider Marnell: How about Stride Rite?
Callen Mae (f) Calen Collect.
Dante Ivan: Nothing wrong with either name but together they sound sinister.
Lila Labrie: My tongue is sore.
Channing Biley (f) No first names allowed!
Piper Berget: Sounds like an airplane to go with Piper Cub and Piper Cherokee. (f)
Lorraine Candece Candace or Candice Lorraine would have been so pretty. I love Candace.
Nash Clyde: Listen to Clyde gnashing his teeth.
Elsa Frances and Colter William: They definitely don't sound like twins. They sound like great-grandmother and new grandson.
Jael Christine: What are the charges? Is there bail? When's the arraignment?
Tanner Mahki: I think I had this in a Japanese restaurant.
Waylon Enoch: Go ahead, whale on him. Knock him down.
Sage Doyle (m) Goes great with roast turkey.
Aleia Rudi Lyn: Ug Leigh.
Alder Ann: Alderan, the new non-narcotic pain relief.
Oly Louis: Oly Oly outs in free.
Loren Theodore: God help him if there's a little Lauren or three in his class.
Baylne Alfred Dewalt: Bailin' Alfred Dewalt?
Maxson Craig (Mason + Jaxzsynn = Maxson?) Equals dim-bulb parents thinking they're smart.
Liam Leonidas: Leo the Lion.
Crew Sloan (m): Cruise slow.
Bentley Holbrook: And his butler Jeeves.
Charleigh Ireland: Charleigh and Charlie and the rest are so dumb on girls. (f)
Maisie Sage: Say that out loud fast a couple times.
Annabelle Lee (!!!!!! POEgasm) This is not as clever or original as they probably thought. In fact, it sounds tired even if this is only the second or third time I've run across it.
