I disagree, I am seeing more and more little Beas about. Look in the times birth announcements, also in general from new mothers. Maybe its a UK thing. I definately think its becoming more popular. Although not sure where it comes on the statistics list.
Myself, didn't used to be that into it but now I do like it. Its grown on me and I see it as a aristocrat/posh name (perhaps because of the princess) other famous Beatrice is Dante's muse in The divine comedy.
Its not at the top of my list, but if say my future husband really liked it I wouldn't object to using it.
