[Opinions] Briella?
What do you think of Briella? Is it to frilly?I just love names with the -ella end, but not common ones like Isabella.
Any other suggetions of not so common names with an -ella end?If you like Briella, what are some good middle names? Her last name would be McGuire. Thanks, Katrina

Love Briella. Frilly, but not too frilly. You could go with Brielle to cut down on the frill or Icut out the "ee" and "a" combo of Briella and try Janella or Shanella and it won't sound as frilly. But it really is lovely as it is.

Not too frilly, just too reminiscent of a million other trendy names beginng in the "bree" sound. How about ...Ariella
Christabella
Mirabella
Noella

Briella is NMS. I think Brielle is prettier. Other suggestions that I prefer (in no order):Adela
Gabriella
Annabella
Donatella
Louella/ Lewella/ Llewella
Graziella
Arabella
Petronella

BriellaHey, don't say my name's common! How about Mariella or Rafaella?
Briella's a cool name but it's a bit girly. Sorry, that sounds daft coming from an Isabella, but hey I'm a tomboy!

Im sorry, I should stated what i meant clearer. I meant common in the context of overused not as an insult to the name. Trust me I think Isabella is one of the prettiest name, its just really overused in Australia (where I live).

I prefer Gabriella with Briella as a nickname. On its own, Briella is too nickname-y and immature sounding to me. Plus, I just don't like nicknames as formal names.

I'm not really keen on Briella. I guess it's because I associate it to other "Bri-" names like Britney, Bree and Breanna, which I don't like because they're so trendy and overused. I don't find it pretty at all.

I prefer Briallen over Briella (obviously lol). Briella... yah, I think it is too frilly. What about the beautiful and simple Bella? There's also Estella and Mariella and... I can't think of anymore lol, except ugly names like Prunella or Barbarella.

Yes, I find Briella too frilly, but more than that it just seems modern and trendy, and like it's missing the Ga- in the front. I really, really dislike it. I love Ella on its own, but most -ella names are a bit too frilly for my personal tastes. But here are a few that are nice:
Della :b
Estella / Stella
Finella
Mariella
Mirabella
Nella
Rosella
SybellaGood luck!

I like it only as a nn for Gabriella. It sounds incomplete and nny as a full fn to me.Also, Gabriella offers your child at least two more name options to go by (Gabriella and Gabby) than a Briella has (Briella, Brie, Ella, and Elle).
