It's either too ABBA, or too Take Me Out. I don't think it would work unless you're of Spanish/Italian/Portugese background.

A singing group from Australia, I believe; two men and two women; very popular and had a hit song called "Fernando".

They were Swedish, actually. -

Oops!Maybe it was "Mama Mia" that linked ABBA to Australia in my brain. Sorry for the error!

I definitely envision a Spaniard, a rather dashing one. :)ETA: I wouldn't have thought of the ABBA song if you hadn't mentioned it.

It's not too ABBA. In the US, Fernando is just outside the top 200, so I think of it as an attractive, fairly common Spanish name. I like it, but I could never see myself using it.

I really like it, but since I'm Swedish, it's way too ABBA for me. I doubt it would be in another country though.

HOW COULD ANYTHING BE TOO ABBA. @kellie

I kind of like it. I have three cousins named Fernando. It's a popular name in my family.

I quite like Fernando with Nando as a nickname. It doesn’t make me think of ABBA, but I’m not a huge fan and they were popular before my time.
