[Opinions] Rain
I fall in love with this name every couple for years and then forget about it again. I only like it on a girl. What do you think of Rain? Do you prefer Raine (as most people seem to prefer Brooke over Brook and Skye over Sky)? Or any other spelling?

I think it works really well. I like it better than Raine... I knew a girl named Raine and she pronounced it Rainy, which I thought was really dumb.

It's cute in theory, but kinda silly and hyppy-dippy. But I can see it working as a mn.

I used to prefer Raine over Rain, but now it's the other way around. Raine is now a masculine name to me, as well as Reine (both are more common for boys than girls where I live).
I like Rain, but I probably wouldn't use it as a FN.

Sorry, but I think it's cheesy. Raina is okay, but Rain? Nah.

I think Rain is such a pretty name for a girl and have liked it for years. I only like the spelling Rain though, as Raine and Rayne look horrible to me. I think Rainy makes a cute nn.

I actually prefer Rain, this spelling only, on a boy. It erks me when people change the spellings of words to "make them look more like names". That aside, I do really like it.

It's a guilty pleasure, but in the real world I think it's pretty ridiculous regardless of spelling. I do love Raina, though.

I have a friend called Raine, and I think it suits her perfectly. Because I know her, Raine seems like a name to me, while Rain just a word - the same goes with Brooke, Skye, etc. I'd never use it because it's not my style, and because I know someone with the name, but I think it's a nice name.

I love Rain, but Raine looks kind of weird to me. I also like Rayne. I only like it as a middle name. To me, Rain is unisex.

I like Rain. If I used it I'd probably use it as a mn with a longer fn, but I like it as a fn too. I also like Raine but I usually prefer Rain. (I also prefer Brook and Sky to Brooke and Skye. Raine might be the only word name with an e on the end that I actually like...) I know a few people named Rayne. I wouldn't use that spelling but it has grown on me.

I know a guy named Rayne. For some reason it seems to be the by far most common spelling. The only one that makes the top 1000.
