So, Beowulf is the name of the day today (Feb. 7). I wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on it.

Personally, I think it's an awesome name. Forever entwined with the epic literary hero, though, which I guess makes it a GP. I don't think it's *too* out there, since I think the nicknames "Beo" (BAY-oh) and "Wolf" are cool nicknames to have.

I think it's handsome. As a first name, bold choice but I'd love to meet one. I, too, enjoy the literary association and the nicknames.

I actually considered using this for a boy, but I find it to be too out there even for my taste. I think it is very handsome and would make a great middle name. :)

I really like Beowulf! I think the nickname Beo renders it usable (for those who are concerned about usability).

I used to have Beowulf on my personal name list, as a GP name. I think it's awesome, especially with the nickname Wolf. I wouldn't use it though, but it's a nice name playing around with.
