I like The Last Unicorn, and when the unicorn turns into a human her name is Amalthea. I also thought it was pretty, different, and yet elegant, and exotic. Any MN suggestions? What do you think of the nn Thea?

I love the name. I tend to like it paired with other Greek names. Thea is nice as well.

Love The Last Unicorn

I need to find this and watch it again. It's been too long.

I like Amalthea and Althea. I like BSchoer10's suggested nn Mali - very cute. Lir is quite beautiful in it's simplicity.

I love it. It's intriguingly pretty and it's a bit better than Anthea, as much as I love the name. Thea isn't really an ideal nickname; I'd go for Mal (or Mali) or Ami.

I like it. Thea's cool too. You might be able to go with Molly as a nn. What was the name of the unicorn before she turns into a human?

she doesn't have a proper name. The other names in the movie/book are:

Haggard
Lir < i love this

Lir is very cool. It's great on it's own, but maybe it could be a nn for something, if you wanted a longer name.

Alithea means "truth" in ancient Greek. Close... and better. ;)
