[Opinions] WDYTO Quinby?
I just saw the name Quinby while I was flipping through one of my namebooks and I though it was kind of cute. Would you say is was more maculine of feminine? I can't make up my mind, it's listed for both genders in the book. It's sort of surnamey so I'm not sure if I like that very much. I'd love to get your opinions! :)

Isn't this the name of the Mayor on The Simpsons? I can't remember off the top of my head but that's who this name reminds me of lol.Anyway, I'm not a big fan of 'Quinn' names - I like the simple Quinn and just for a boy.

I don't like it, because it feels not one nor quite t'other, to borrow from The Changeling. Quincy is great for a boy. Quinn is lovely on either sex. Quimby would be fine, too. But Quinby? It's not a name--it's a weird compromise that's hard to pronunce.Array

I had a girl Cabbage Patch doll with this name when I was growing up (can't remember if it was fn or mn and what the other name was, though), but it doesn't strike me as very feminine at all. :b Also, I met a guy a few years ago named Quinby (not positive on spelling), who went by Quin and Q. He had a brother named Duncan--his family was Irish, actually, and Quin had bright red hair--and he said his parents were worried more about his getting teased for his name. But he said actually Duncan got it more because of "Dunkin Donuts." Go figure. Anyway, because of him, I think it's a cute name for a boy, but I much prefer Quinn, or even Quinlan and Quentin. :)

At first I saw it as a boys name, but now that I can read Queen-Bee in it, it would be more suitable for girls. I can't say i like it, I can't see this on an adult.
