Yeah, I think it's alright. Too formalish for me personally, but a likeable image and masculine enough sound.

Hollis always feels more masculine to me but, because of the meaning and ending sound, I can understand its use on a girl. I love Ellis and it's all masculine to me, though I have seen it in a couple of female birth announcements. Sigh...

I think it's quite handsome and it would have never occurred to me that anyone would use it for a girl.

Yes, yes, yes. Yet another name my husband said no to. But I love it. And while we're on the subject, how about Davis, Ellis, Ennis, Willis, Morris and Tavis? Just sayin'...

Yes! I love it on a boy, and only on a boy. I picture a Southern (U.S.) gentleman in a sear-sucker suit with a mint julep in his hand. He is the epitome of a "beau." Love, love it.

I quite like Hollis, but I can only really picture it for a girl. Although Hollis paired with a really classic name like Charles or William would sound pretty nice.
