First off, I would like to say that naming a child "Casanova" should not be a crime. A lot of people might not like it, but that's their opinion and that doesn't necessarily mean a child (or an adult when they grow older) would automatically hate the name just because its different, as, obviously, your father can attest to or he obviously wouldn't put up with being nickname "Casanova".
I kind of like the name Casanova, it's kind of sexy to me. Although, if I was going to use the nickname "Cass" I would choose the name Cassidy, simply because of David Cassidy.
