Gorgeous name, so melodic. Friends have a baby dd called Eleri Gwenllian - so beautiful. They are Welsh and the stress is on the middle syllable. To my non-Welsh ear it sounds like Eh-LEH-ree.

I think Eleri is beautiful. It has this really green, springlike image. The pronunciation is a bit unintuitive outside Wales but simple enough.

I think most people will pronounce it ELL-ur-ee. I know a male Ellery, so it's hard for me to picture (either pronunciation) on a girl.

That pronunciation seems really awkward to me. I would naturally say it more like ELL-ur-ree. Hm. I don't mind the look of it at all, but I just don't like the sound.

It doesn't seem like a name to me. It sounds more like the name of business or pharmaceutical.
