I love Amparo. It's a lovely name and I knew a lovely person with the name.

Amparo is really neat. I wouldn't have guessed that it was feminine, but I like it.

Thanks. I've just remembered how much I like Amparo. Oh yeah, I should probably have mentioned that it's feminine! Sorry about that.

My initial reation is dislike and the name seems more masculine to me.

I have always had a soft spart for Dolores and Carmen.

I can definitely see how the -o ending reads masculine. Then again, there are so few -o girl's names that finding one is pretty cool.

I like Dolores and Carmen lots too.

I like Amparo, though it's not my favorite. I love Marian names in general -- my favorites are Pilar, Consuelo, and Socorro.

Yeah, I think Marian names have the most beautiful meanings / symbolism, I love them. Amparo's meaning especially is just awesome, that's part of why I like it so much. No idea how it actually comes across in Spanish though, perhaps it's too wordy. Ah I forgot Socorro, good one! It's lovely. Thanks.
