[Opinions] Theo or Theodore?
Theo or Theodore? I like them both, but I think I prefer Theo for its simplicity. I think I'd never call him Theodore anyway. Does it work as a full name? It just seems more youthful, fresh and fun as a full name. Even though I like Theodore it reminds me of the Chipmunks and feels very old.

I like Theo. I do like it as a nickname for Theodore but I think it works fine as a full name too - it's not too nicknamey or childish. I agree that Theodore feels rather old and if you would always call him Theo anyway, you might as well just have Theo as the given name.

I love just Theo and think that it's fine on its own. Theodore is a nice name as well, but I prefer Theo's simplicity. Theodore has more of a stiff vibe. The Theodores I have met have all gone by nicknames.

The "Theo" bit is really the only thing I like about Theodore. I'd say it works just fine on its own. There's nothing silly, babyish, or undignified about Theo.

Theo definitely works as a full name. I like Theo a lot better than Theodore.

I've never understood the concept of picking a name for it's nickname. I'm Millie and my parents would never have dreamed of calling me Millicent because what was the point - I'd have always been Millie.
If you prefer Theo then go with Theo, I like both, in fact Theodore is on my list but as a middle name. Nicknames are quite popular as given names nowadays anyway, Hattie, Jay, Evie, and Ben are all used without their longer forms. :)

I like them both, but I guess Theo is better then. Theodore is a bit... I don't know, snobby maybe. Which isn't necesseraly a bad thing.

I agree with you. I used to like Theodore a lot until I admitted to myself that the main reason I liked it was because Theo was so appealing to me. So now I'm firmly on team Theo as a full name. I would definitely consider using it for my own child, and I have also met two just Theos and they had no trouble with their names at all.

I think either is fine. If you prefer Theo, then just Theo is the way you should go.
