For a boy or girl?I think it's okay for a boy. I would probably go with Quentin if we were looking for a smiliar name.I like it for a girl. No frils, no bells, no fluffy puppies. Just Quinn. It's almost bookish.

It's more a girl name, at least for the next decade or so, because of several TV shows, because it's similar to Gwen and Lynn and other feminine K*in names (Kaitlin, Keelin, Kaylyn) - and mostly because it's already getting used a bit more for girls than for boys. I think it makes a nice name for a woman/girl - it's the name of a friend's daughter and to me it doesn't seem really anything but a nice and trendy name. Although I think it will date like crazy as a female name fad, eventually I think it'll just be unisex. If I were a boy born today I would not really want to be named Quinn. It's a lot like Kelly - it works fine on a man, and even has appeal that way, it's not un-masculine... but it's probably not the easiest name for a guy to bear right now. I think it could come off as a mama's boy name like Ashley.

I think it is only okay on a boy as a nickname for Quincy or Quinton.

My husband and I have tossed it around as a middle name. I don't love it, but I do appreciate it's underused-gem-like qualities.

I don't mind it on a girl, but I love it for a boy. I have a soft spot for Quinton nn Quin (this spelling).

I like it for a boy, in fact it's on my list as a middle name, it's short and sweet and goes well with a lot of long names that I love. For a girl: not so much.

I love it for a boy and my partner does as well. It is actually one of the boys names that we both love enough to maybe use someday for a son.I used to hate it for a girl, I don't hate it anymore for a girl but I don't like it either, I'm much more into feminine names for girls than using masculine ones. I like more masculine nn's though for girls, I think they are cute but I only like them when there is also a more feminine full first name as well.

It's okay. I don't really feel anything much about Quinn. It's neutral in the same way that it's gender neutral. I kinda like it better on girls.

I like it for a boy. It's horrible on a girl, IMO.
