Elvira seems to be pretty popular in Sweden, but how is it pronounced? In Portuguese, it's either ELL-vee-rah or el-VEE-rah, depending on Brazil/Portugal, but in America I've noticed people say the I like they're saying Elv-eye-ra.

I'm in the U.S. and sadly most would say, "el-VIE-ruh." But I adore the "el-VEER-uh" pronunciation the most. It reminds me of the movie, "Elvira Madigan."
