[Opinions] Fern
Thoughts and opinions needed on the name Fern. Do you like it? Have you ever met someone named Fern? Would it work with an older brother named Jasper? Any comments appreciated, thanks.

I love the name Fern, even though some people think it's kind of weird because it's a plant, but I think it makes a really nice name. I've never met anyone with the name. It works really well with Jasper!

I think it makes an excellent sibset with Jasper. They're very charming together. But personally, I've never been a Fern fan. It just sounds drab and unfeminine to me.

Ooh, Fern is great with Jasper. Together, they're pleasantly nature themed without it being overwhelming. I admit I used to think Fern was too backwoods to seriously consider, but it has become one of my favorite botanical names. I just love it now. Fern Arable, from Charlotte's Web, is my only real Fern association.

I find it really dull. Plus it's the name of a weed, no thank you.

Oh my god, Jasper and Fern is the loveliest.I might edit in something else later, but WOW. That might almost make me like Jasper.

I've always rather liked the name because of the little girl named Fern in the book Charlotte's Web. Recently I met an elderly lady named Fern who goes to my church, she's in her late 80's and everyone calls her "Grandma Fern" because she adopts everyone as if we were her grandchildren. She's the sweetest lady with a lazy southern accent and has made me like the name again. Fern and Jasper would make a cute nature themed sibset. ;)

I really like Fern. I'm surprised that it isn't more popular. It hasn't been in the top 1000 in the U.S. since the 1960s.I've only met one Fern. I don't know her age, but I'd say that she was probably born in either the 1940s or 1950s.I think it works well with Jasper.

I rather like Fern - one of the better botanicals, and although the only Fern I've ever known was terminally boring, it still seems like a cheerful, energetic name. I think it matches well with Jasper ... and if you feel you might prefer something a bit longer, Fern can be a successful nn for Fernanda.

I actually think it's really sweet and it does go with Jasper. The only Fern I know is Fearne Cotton, but she spells it strangely.
