[Opinions] Minona
A couple of days ago, I stumbled across the name Minona on another name board. And tonight it was kind of-sort of mentioned again on the "names not in the database" thread.
I think it's an interesting name, so I had a quick peek into its history.
Apparently Minona is a character from the "Ossian Poems", those works that several European artists were so enamored with. Writers, composers, you name it.
Beethoven's alleged illegitimate daughter had this name.
Subsequently, from around the 1820s on, the name found some usage in Germany and from around the 1850s on also in Denmark. Only to disappear again by 1900.Anyway, what do you think of this name?
