[Opinions] Vega
What are your thoughts on the name Vega? As a girls' name. Nameberry has it listed as unisex for some reason. Would you think of it as unisex?
I know it reminds some people of Las Vegas. Does that association bother you? Would the city be your first thought?
(I noticed the user Jarus left a long and interesting comment on it, in relation to the surname, if you feel like reading.)
Thanks in advance :)

Hm. Vega does sound a little sparkly, even if I didn't consciously think of Las Vegas. But yeah, definitely girl, not unisex.
Oddly enough I thought of the Chevy Vega. No idea how I heard of it, because I wasn't born until 14 years after it was no longer made... It was known for it's problematic engineering, and I kind of get a cheap vibe from the name, because I'm thinking of a car that's not worth your money....
I know that's a weird association, but it's what my brain did.
I don't find it unisex at all.

I like it. 'Vega' just reminds me of the star, but 'Vegas' would remind me too much of Las Vegas.
I like it, but only for a girl.
For me it's a GP for a boy. The city is nowhere near my first thought.
First thought:
Vega is a (male) character from Street Fighter and I used to play that a lot when I was younger.
Second thought:
Astrological associations. I kinda think the meaning is more fitting for a boy as well.
Vega for a girl would be nice. It feels like the same category as Nova, which I like a lot.
