I quite like it, but I think the associations are very strong for this name. The city Orlando, the actor Orlando Bloom, and the Shakespearean character.

Why not Roland, Charlemagne's knight who fought the Moors, is the more Frankish version of Orlando:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland
