Simon is adorable. So polite, so warm. Silas does have a kind of darkness to it that sunshiney-Simon totally lacks. I suppose I would say I do prefer Simon to Silas.

Yes. I like Silas, but I adore Simon. I prefer it pronounced 'SEE-mawn', but I like the English way too.

I dislike them both, for the same reason: they both start with a loud Sigh.

I love Simon! Silas is okay too, but Simon is just such a solid, handsome classic.

I like Simon a bit more.If I had twin boys, I'd be tempted to name them Paul and Silas (a Biblical reference, for those unfamiliar).Maybe I wouldn't do it, but I'd like to.

Simon is my boyfriend's middle name and I love it. It isn't very common these days and my boyfriend once told me that he sometimes wished it was his first name for that reason. I do prefer it to Silas.

I really like Simon, but I can never use it because I have a cousin named that (though spelled Zimon).
I prefer Silas which I also really like because it's less common (at least here).

I actually prefer Silas to Simon, but both names are fine enough. They could work for a pair of brothers as well.

I dislike both names. Silas is ugly, and Simon reminds me of Simon Cowell.

Hmm Simon is dependable but a little boring, I don't think I've even met a particularly interesting person called Simon. I don't dislike it, but it doesn't 'wow' me. I prefer Silas, but only marginally.

I like Simon, but not nearly as much as Silas. Simon is a tad stuffy and bookish (not that that is necessarily a bad thing). Silas seems more spirited and manly.

No, I prefer Silas to Simon. I like Simon well enough, but it sounds wimpy to me. Silas sounds strong and hardworking and silently proud. I like that.

I totally adore the name Simon!! It's my fourth favorite boy name, as a matter of fact. Benedict is the middle name I love paired with it.

I don't care much for Simon. I've always thought it was a bit of a weak sounding name for a man. Silas is nice though.

Silas is okay, but I LOVE the name Simon!

I prefer most names to Silas, but I've never really liked Simon. It always seemed sneaky and posh to me, like a guy with a fake British accent charming lonely women to steal their jewelry or something.
Also, I really liked the electronic game Simon as a child.

Love name Simon! I will use it one day if I have a boy (pregnant with another girl now):)
