Message: "Zoemi" - Behind the Name

I was perusing the BAs in a local paper yesterday, most names were unmemorable until I came across Zoemi. It really sounds like a smushing of Zoe and Noemi, and I bet the kid will get called Noemi a lot (which is common-ish in the area). Admittedly there are worse names out there, but sometimes I can't help wondering what goes into parents' heads when they pick a name for their baby.

I kind of like it, but it seems likely to be confused with Noemi or Zoe.

It's cute, actually. I quite like it. I'm not a fan of Noemi or Naomi, and Zoe is meh, but smushed together is sort of adorable.

If it's a "creative" name, it's not the worst I've seen. But I just wonder why they wouldn't pick either Zoe or Noemi! It's not like they couldn't use the second name as the middle name...

Luckily, I think the worst thing about the name is what you pointed out. She'll forever be confused as Noemi or just Zoe.

I don't like it. Makes me think of the words "zooming" and "zombie".

When I see things like this I just assume they wanted to honor two people and smushed their names. I love Zoe and Noemi, so Zoemi isn't that bad to me.
