[Opinions] Arronax
My SO and I are reading "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and I've now been drawn to the of Arronax as a FN (or MN) for a boy. WDYT?

Sorry, but I think it sounds like a kind of tool, a mix of an arrow and an axe. It also makes me think of ear wax, bleah!

It's not very pleasant. It's a heavy thud of a name.

Sounds like Aaron with an ax!

It sounds like it's a benzo, like Xanax. Not good. Best use it as a middle name.

"Oh, crap. I have engine grease on my hands from fixing the car.""It's okay, I have some Arronax under the sink.""Life saver!"Heavy duty cleaning supply, I'd wager.

I hope it's not rude to say this, but for some reason this name sounds like the name of a laxative to me... or something equally "pleasant".

I think it's pretty cool. It works well on a character, and namey enough for real life. Probably mn material IMO, but I would still like to see it as a fn.
Possible nns include Arron, Nax (Max would be a stretch, but maybe?), Ron, Arro / Arrow, Ax?Edit: Since it appears to sound a lot like a brand name for something, I'm saying middle name only.

Arronax would be a good name for an air-conditioner. "It's hot in here. Turn up the Arronax."
