[Opinions] Rory for a girl
I really like the name Rory for a girl, but given that in Scotland this is exclusively a male name... I was wondering if you guys could help with any ideas for a longer, more feminine name that Rory could instead be used as a nickname for?

As a huge Doctor Who fan Rory will always be a male name for me. But I could see it work as a nickname for Aurora and maybe Laura or Lorraine.

I don't have any new full names to add, since everyone else has already pretty much listed everything I could think of, but I just wanted to say I love the name Rory on a girl. I actually prefer it on a girl as opposed to a boy. My preferred full name would be Aurora or Lorelei.

Who cares if it's an exclusively male name? I love Rory, on both genders. It makes me think of Rory from Doctor Who and that gives me feels but it's a good association.

Aurora, poor child.

Aurora comes to mind, although the style of Aurora is pretty much the opposite of Rory.

I always thought Rory was far too masculine for a girl.

All I can think of is Aurora. I think Lorelai on the Gilmore Girls was called Rory but it seems a stretch. I don't care for the name for either sex because it's indistinct and sounds like a slurred version of Roy.

There were actually 3 Lorelais- Gran/ Trix, Lor (but usually Lorelai), and Rory. That's my go to full name for Rory. Aurora would work too.
