Clíodhna interests me a lot! There are two South African women that I know of, not connected to each other in any way, named Cleone. I can't help wondering if that was originally an attempt to make Irish spelling conventions more familiar.

Imogen - when I first heard of this name, before I ever saw it written down, I thought it would be spelled like Immajen or something.
Ceridwen - always went to say SERRY-dwen instead of ke-RID-wen
Roisin - said it like ROE-zen instead of roe-SHEEN
Liza - said it like lee-za in my head
Dorothea - at first though it was pronounced the same as Dorothy
Margot - initially pronounced the t
Marcel - thought that the emphasis was on the first syllable (MAR-sell, kind of like parcel), which to me differentiates it from the girl version Marcelle (mar-SELL), but they're pronounced basically the same.
Anais - always said it with a silent S, like a-NAY instead of a-ny-eess or whatever. Actually, I still do leave the S silent. To me it sounds better.

When I was really little I read American Girl Doll books and for some reason, I pronounced Felicity as fell-is-ee. Where the T went in my seven year old mind? I don't know.

Alexei i always pronounced it uh-leks-uh now i know its pronounced uh-leks-ee

I first came across the name Sean in a book, and pronounced it as Seen for years. I thought it was very handsome.
