[Opinions] Ogden and Bird
I should have included these in the "Names on my mind" thread below but I just remembered them.WDYT of Ogden with Oggie as a possible NN?What about just Bird "Birdie" for a girl? How about Alberta "Bertie" instead?

I do support Oggie as a nickname very much. Ogden is a big strange for me, but I don't hate it. I definitely prefer August nn Auggie, but I could appreciate Ogden as well.Bird. Meh. Not my style. I'm not big into noun names. Alberta nn Bertie is adorable though. And I can't help but that think Albie on a girl would be great too.

Albie is adorable!

I think Ogden is awful, sorry, it's probably the ugliest male name I've ever heard.Bird doesn't sound like a name. Also here its slang for 'woman', not offensive but not really suitable as a name.Alberta is a little dated but it's a million times better than Bird.

Oh gosh...I hate Ogden. I hate it. I think it's the "og" sound that puts me off.Bird is definitely only a last name in my mind - but I think Birdie is a cute nickname for someone with that last name. I really don't like Alberta either. "Bert" just sounds really masculine to me.

I like Ogden. I think of the Poet even though I'm not extremely familiar with his work. Oggie is a little weird, though. I think a heavy name like Ogden might not need a nickname except when he's little or acting adorable or some such.I like the nickname Birdie for the name Bridget. I hate Alberta, though. It sounds swollen and old. But Birdie is cute as a nn--but not a given name, and nor is Bird.

Ogden/Oggie is pretty cool. I like it.Bird/Birdie as a given name? I don't know. Birdie is fine as a NN, but Bird? That's too simple. It's like naming a kid Dog or Fish. It doesn't work the same way Cat or Fawn does. What about Bridget, NN Birdie? I don't know if you like Bridget, but it's just a suggestion.

Alberta I can tolerate and Ogden isn't that bad, but I hate Bird, Birdie and Bertie.
