[Opinions] Adalheidis
Is the name Adalheidis (ah-dal-HIE-dis) usable on a girl as a first name? Or only as a middle name, or not at all? What do you think of the name? Combos?Thank you

I don't find Adalheidis usable in the modern era, but two of its derivatives are: Adele and Heidi.

It's too medieval to use imo. I'd go for a more modern form. Adelaide, Alice, Heidi.

I don't think it's useable, it's to complicated and therefore sounds pretentious. Adelheid is a little bit more useable as it's simpler, and I like Heidi.I also think Adelheid and Adelheidis sound quite masculine.

No. Go for Adelaide instead. It's a lot more modern-sounding. Adelheid works well too, and you could always use Heidi as a NN for that.

It looks pretentious, and she'd spend her life spelling it out. I'd rather use Adelais or Adelaide instead.

Not usable, in my opinion.I love medieval names, but some are just TOO medieval. Even the later German version Adelheid is hopelessly outdated and considered ugly now.I'd use Adela (ah-DEH-la) in a heartbeat though.

No, I'd stick to Adelaide. Adalheidis is just too pretentious.
