[Opinions] Órfhlaith
WDYT about the name Órfhlaith (pronounced Orla)? I think it's rather nice. It also has a nice meaning.

I like the Anglicized Orla better. Órfhlaith wouldn't go too well unless you actually lived in Ireland.

Nmsaa. I'd just go with Orla and spare her the nightmare of spelling her name.

I'm afraid all it does for me is, (1), make me resentful of Irish spelling and (2) remind me of a non-dairy cream substitute called Orleywhip.

I like the look of it but I pronounced it or-FLAYTH at first sight, I know Irish/Gaelic names have pronunciations that differ from the spellings, but still. It's not a bad name, though.

It's pretty, but you'd have a hell of a time with spelling/pronunciation outside of Ireland. That's why I'd personally go with the Orla spelling. Órfhlaith could be fine in the middle, though. :)

I wonder where the letter went when pronounced. I had no idea it was pronounced Orla.

Spelled Orla, it's a fine name, though nms. I wouldn't try the original spelling though, too counter-intuitive.
