I hadn't heard it before, but I like it a lot. It lends itself to some good nicknames too (Eva, Eve, Evey, Lina), which I like.

Evelina reminds me of author Fanny Burney, and thus, Jane Austen. So it starts out with a huge advantage. Then it strikes me as energetic (which is good), if a tad on the overly frilly side (which is bad). That's where the Jane Austen association come in and argues in its favor. So overall Evelina get the thumbs up from me.

I think it's beautiful. I love all Ev- names for girls, but Evelina is one of the prettiest. It's feminine but not too frilly and it doesn't sound too old fashioned or too modern, I think it's perfect!

Well, to me, it sounds a little like someone took Evelyn and added 'ina.' But it is an actual name, though I prefer the root, Aveline. And it has some pretty nice nick names... So I guess it's okay, though I normally don't like frilly 'ina' or 'ette' names. This one isn't terrible though. I'll give it that.

I dislike it. I guess I just dislike the sound of it, and I'm not a big fan of -lina names anyway. They sound a bit too girly and childish imo. I far prefer Elvira.

I'm not too fond of 'ina' names, and it lends itself too easily to 'Evil' as a nickname (If prn. EEV-ehl-INA

I do like it, but I also find it a bit too frilly in comparison to other Ev- names. I prefer Eve, Eva, Evelyn, and Evangeline to Evelina. That being said, I really like Ev- names, so it's hard for me not to like it.

I like it. Evelyn, Eva and Eve are all nice too.
