[Facts] Russian diminutives for Luna
I have found to my surprise that Luna is used in Russia. What diminutives would be used for this? We're all in the gutter, but some of us look at the stars.

Usually, the diminutive suffixes are -ka and -echka, so Luna could be Lunka or Lunechka. My Russian name in college was Tanja, and one of my professors said he wanted to call me Tanjechka, like his sister.

I checked Lunechka in Cyrillic as лунечка, and Google showed that this form indeed exists. However I got the impression that this diminutive is quite rare (maybe like the "full" name Luna itself).

It's hard to shorten Luna. But the diminutive endings I mentioned are like -ette in French or -ita in Spanish. They're not like Tanja is short for Tatjana. Even if the name isn't shorter, there's some apparent affection because the form is used.

Since a comment on the name says that Luna is Russian for moon as well, I suspect that they use just Luna. I don't know hiw to write it in Cyrillian, though.
