In alphabetical order (by gender):

During the course of the month I ditched almost all of my previous favorite female names in favor of very short ones, the only ones to survive to the present Top 10 being Chloe, Freya, and Irene. (Esmée was on both lists.) Names from that list eliminated:
Ava
Eden
Maeve
Paige
Sibyl
Xanthe (now a middle name)
And from the list *beforehand*:
Blair
Genevieve (now a middle name)
Heidi
Rosalie
My favorite male names list's history has been less tumultuous, but some of the names I deleted from that in favor of new ones are:
Elliot (now a middle name, spelled Elliott)
Hunter
John
Matthew
Nathan
Bennett Arthur
Cameron James
Colin Prentice
