It is nice to see Carly on someone's list. It is one of those names that was already kind of dated for my age group as it was quite popular for girls around 5 years older than me but I've always really liked it. It is so bright and friendly. I infinitely prefer it to Charlie for a girl, which is horrifically popular over here at the moment as a nickname for Charlotte and as a stand alone name.
