I am 61 years old and my birth was registered in 1952 in Scotland . My father was told couldn't register my name because no one in Glasgow had ever been called that before. My father insisted and named me Georgia . I don't really know if I was the first but would love to know.
I did feel a bit self conscience of my modern name when at school and couldn't imagine being old and having my name , but here I am nearly a pensioner and really like it and the meaning of Georgia is me to a T !
