[Opinions] family names from a recent obit
On July 31, my great-grandmother passed away at age 96. There were some names in her obituary I thought others might find interesting!
Rita Mary/Marie (I've seen both used) was born in 1917.
Her parents were Jeanne "Jenny" and Frank, but she was raised by Frank's parents Tharcille and Adolphus. She had a sister Lucienne "Lu" and a half-sister Therese "Tressie".
She married Pierre, and his siblings were/are Etienne, Antoinette "Toni", Gabrielle "Gibby", Rose, and Jean "Johnny".
Rita and Pierre had children Shirley, Cecile, Doreen, Robert and Marilyn Rose.
I used to think my family names were boring, but I'm starting to warm up to them.
