I quite like Elsa but Elsie is all cow to me. It doesn't help that I know a cow named Elsie and no matter how cute she is... she's still Elsie the cow.Elsa is a strong name and I feel like it needs a strong middle name to go along with it. Nothing cute, frilly, or overdosed girlishness.Elsa Gwendolyn
Elsa Josephine
Elsa Madeleine
Elsa Cordelia
Elsa Winifred

I like Elsa Ariane, Elsa Belle and Elsa May.
It's not a favourite of mine and sometimes I'm not a fan of the way it sounds or looks but I don't actively dislike it.

Yay! I've adored Elsa, nn Elsie, for literally decades. I saw "Born Free," about Elsa the lioness, when I was young and that got me hooked. So Elsa is feline to me, not bovine. Plus, Elsa is so musical sounding. Elsie is especially darling. I never thought it would catch on, but now I've got my fingers crossed. Don't worry. It will never go mega-popular. But just knowing it's not dragged down by the "but-it's-a-cow's-name" anchor anymore is enough. Yay!From your list of combinations, I'm loving:Elsa Renée
Elsa May / Mae
Elsa Rose
Elsa VioletI want to love Elsa Lily just as much, but I fear there are too many "L" sounds too close together. :-/
If I may add a few:Elsa Caroline
Elsa Meadow
Elsa Juniper
Elsa Fleur
Elsa Ginger
Elsa Madeline / Madeleine ("MAD-uh-lin")
Elsa Georgine
Elsa Daphne
Elsa Clementine
Elsa Rosalie
Elsa Winifred
Elsa Mabel
Elsa Bryony

I really like Elsa! It would probably be on my list if it weren't my SO's sister's name :)Elsa Lily Renee or Elsa Renee - both are great. Renee has a "seriousness" to it that grounds both Elsa and Lily really nicely
Elsa Ariane - don't like Elsa with a vowel-starting MN - the transfer between the two is too awkward
Elsa Penelope - too sing-songy with the repeated "el" sounds
Elsa Olivia - see Elsa Ariane
Elsa Lily - meh, it's ok but verging on too cutesy
Elsa May - sounds nice but screams "country bumpkin". Maybe if there were another name in there.... Ooooo how about Elsa May Ariane! I actually really love that. Or Elsa May Adele
Elsa Rose - Rose is booooring in the middle
Elsa Adele - see Elsa Ariane
Elsa Arianna - see Elsa Ariane
Elsa Violet - LOOKS the prettiest I think but Violet is so "now" that it makes the combo boring and ho-hum
Elsa Belle - see Elsa Penelope
Elsa Amelia - see Elsa Ariane
Elsa Harlow - Hmmm, unsure, really. I like the juxtaposition of the 2 but am not sold on the flow
Elsa Amalie - see Elsa Ariane
Elsa Aubrie - see Elsa Ariane

I find Elsa really sweet. :)Elsa Renee - nice; sounds and feel of each work well together, I think
Elsa Ariane - these two don't feel as compatible to me
Elsa Penelope - love Penelope but the repeated "el" sound is a distraction for me
Elsa Olivia - repeating "l" and ending "uh" sounds again distract
Elsa Lily - too much "l" for me, both in sound and to say aloud
Elsa May - sweet
Elsa Rose - okay
Elsa Adele - enjoy Adele but FN ending "uh" collides with MN beginning "uh" and "el" sound also repeats
Elsa Arianna - Ariane works better, but the feel is still off for me
Elsa Violet - lovely; love the feel, love the sound; my favorite here by far
Elsa Belle - kind of sounds like a variation on Isabelle
Elsa Amelia - doesn't flow for me; again, FN ending "uh" bumps into MN beginning "uh"; Elsa Amy comes to mind
Elsa Harlow - for me, these don't work together at all
Elsa Amalie - ditto
Elsa Aubrie - Elsa Audrey would be nice; for me, Aubrey is a family name completely masculine
