Sadly for Rose and Duncan things didn't work out. They divorced and Rose moved away to France for work, leaving Duncan with majority custody of the boys. They still see their mum fairly regularly and go to her's on holidays.
Harriet and Duncan had been good friends for a long time, since university, but after Duncan's divorce he suddenly began to see her in a more romantic light. After a few oddly awkward drinks as friends Duncan finally asked her out to dinner.
