I find it heavy and flabby and lacking in energy. And shortening it to Jon looks like a spelling error; shortening it to Jonty is quite simply nasty. The gift of eternal youth becomes a poisoned chalice.

I love Jonathan. It's a solid classic, and as someone else said it is not common on little boys now.

I absolutely adore the name Jonathan. If I were religious, I would totally use it. I especially love the nn Jonty. Soooo cute! :3

Boooring.Jonathan/Jonny is very common for my generation. It's just bland, like Matthew, Lauren, Jennifer.. etc.

Samantha, Bethany, and Nathan is okay too. Theodore I really only like for the nn Ted.
