I totally love Babette. It is red-hot like pizza supper. I hardly even get a dated vibe from it at all. It's like Lola - timelessly cheeky. But the thing about Babette is that it's not some empty-headed harlot of a name. It's got a theatrical intellect behind it. Puts me in mind of an archly beautiful stage actress of the early 20's who worked her way up from obscurity in a small town.
