It’s been two years since Hugo was born. How are things with the family? Your couple gets a cat! Must have a supernatural name.
After living with Ezra's parents for a while, they decided it was time to get their lives back on track. Ezra started his own publishing company, which is growing rapidly, and Devon is back in the orchestra business, now conducting one. They saved enough money to finally buy a house last year.
Jenna has also proven to be a very intelligent young girl and she's already going to school since she's so smart. Devon is teaching her how to play the piano and she's enjoying it. She likes her brother but they can fight over little things, too, giving Devon and Ezra a daily headache.
I don't know exactly what you mean by "supernatural", but I picked Ouija.
A parent of one of the partners passes away. How does it affect the partner & family?
Ezra's father, William, dies by heart attack. It was completely unforeseen, since the man was very healthy. Ezra opts to stay at home with Jenna and Hugo, grieving over not only his father but also his late sister, even though she passed away two years ago. He falls into a state of depression and one night, when Devon comes home, he finds Ezra standing over Hugo's bed, crying and hugging their son very close. Ezra feels guilty and selfish for having Hugo and - in his mind - killing his sister that way. Devon sends their children to live with his brother Peter for a while, and stays home himself to take care of his partner.
