After the family all drifted apart for about seven years, and babies were born, people got married, people had fights. Suddenly one day, Samantha calls all of her children separately, and tells them their father has suddenly passed away from a severe heart attack. All the Rossell children and their families gather for Scott's funeral, and they all weep and mourn together. Afterwards, each of the children moves their families back to their hometown, close to Samantha. They begin to have regular Sunday dinners at James' house, since he is the oldest. Slowly but surely, the Rossell family becomes close-knit once again, with Scott forever in their hearts.
