Erik and Reg, retired and living quietly in their old hometown again, enjoy frequent visits from their children and grandchildren.
Vera has retired from her position in the Royal Marines Band Service, and now teaches violin to the occasional student. Aaron is still in service, although currently a yellow admiral. Of their children, Gwen had married her long-time boyfriend, Silas, last year, and their little Ilona became Erik and Reg's first great-grandchild.
Ana and Liam thought they were done having children, but a surprise came in form of baby Jasper. They cherish him as much as his siblings, but are now doubly certain that they really aren't going to have any more surprises.
The Alexes - Lex and Riddle - have had one more child, yet another son, Rafe. They live in London with their boys, and can only visit the grandparents once in a while due to confusing schedules and distance, but always try their best to keep in touch.
Sophie and Amias have had another son, born within a week of his cousin Jasper. Young Henry was named after an old friend of Sophie's who was in hospital at the time, thus inadvertently continuing the tradition, as Sophie herself was named with a similar backstory.
Topher and Louise-Madeleine have welcomed two daughters into their family, Josie and Vivie. Since moving to Marseilles, they are the farthest-flung of Erik and Reg's children.
Ezra and Anna married seven years ago, but after a while it became apparent that Anna is unable to bear children, due to an anatomical anomaly that made it very dangerous for her to attempt to carry a child to term. The couple have since decided to adopt children, and live happily with their Mick, Sera, and Pippa.
And last, but not the least, Alfie has gotten married to his sweetheart, Lily-Noa, in a small private ceremony two years ago. The couple have yet to consider having children of their own, but they live quietly and contently a few blocks down from Erik and Reg.
