I really dislike Harriet and Ruth.
My impression would be that their parents don't have the greatest taste in names, in my opinion. The names don't conjure up anything about what the girls would be like. I might tend to think that they are from the Northeastern United States or California, rather than the Deep South or the Midwest. As far as whether I like them together, well, they are in the same style.
