[Opinions] Chris/Kris
Why aren't there very many younger women named Chris/Kris (age 18-39) as opposed of a lot of men and instead prefer to be called Chrissy/Krissy? I know there are several middle-aged women with that name but why not the younger generation? Is it because they would be afraid to be teased? Thanks!

Idk? I think their parents called them Chrissy/Krissy and they've never bothered to change it?

The only Chrissys I ever knew are middle-aged now. I don't know any female Chrises, plenty of Kristis of various spellings.
Chrissy just went out of fashion is all.

Honestly, I think it has less to do with not preferring to be called Chris / Kris and more to do with the fact that those names were quite common in the 70s and 80s. People are just moving on to new common names. :-) Actually, I've known a few women named Christine or Christina or Kristen who've gone by Chris or Kris, however, most people I've known named Chris were male (Christopher, Christian).

Definitely. Christopher became the second most popular boy's name during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Most guys thought that Christopher was too long and went by Chris as a result.

I know several younger men named Chris. I don't know any that go by Chrissy, so I can't say I can relate to what you're saying..

I actually don't know anyone called Chrissy and I actually think using Kris or Chris for girl would be more acceptable these days with so many boys names being converted to the girls side like Dylan and Logan. I know a 33 year old woman called Christine who goes by Chris. Ironically her husband;s name is also Chris. Needless to say she kept her maiden name when they got married so there would be less confusion
