[Opinions] Erzsebet
What do you think about the name Erzsebet? I think it's nice, kind of spicy and cooler than Elizabeth. I'm also fascinated by the story of Erzsebet Bathory. She was so unbelievably evil and wicked. I wonder what was wrong with her? Did she suffer from psychopathy combined with extreme sadism? Anyway, I still like her name.

I love it. I don't think Erzsebet Bathory was the first person I read about with the name but she was certainly one of the firsts. I know her story pretty well thanks to one of my research modes. As for what she suffered from, we can only guess. I could do that but I get so long-winded that it might be better if I don't.
I pronounce it differently than the site lists. I say it more air-zhay-bet. Kinda. I wouldn't use it but it would make a good villain. The murderous twins Erzsebet and Katarzyna! Ha.

I think it's weird and ugly and it's even making me rethink why I like Elizabeth.

Agreed. Weird and ugly.

I can understand ugly, but weird? Why is it weird?

Eh, it's really just weird to me . I've never heard it before (everything I read about Elizabeth Bathory called her Elizabeth), and I've never met or heard of anyone with the name. It might be more common to other people, IDK.Aside from all that, it just doesn't have a very good sound. It sounds like a frog burping, or something.

Ooh, she gives me chills! When I was a teen I read this book "Bad Girls Do It", an encyclopedia of female killers. I didn't sleep for weeks. Bathory was the scariest one, hands down! I don't like the name Erzsebet much. It sounds kind of choppy or awkward to me.

I quite like it, but I used it for one of my villains in a story, which is set in Hungary.

Its an okay name, but I just prefer different versions of Elizabeth more.I had never heard of Bathory, so I looked her up on Wikipedia. It brought me to a few more serial killer women that I read up on. There was one name Delphine who had children she named:Marie Borgia Delphine
Marie Louise Pauline
Louise Marie Laure
Marie Louise Jeanne
Jeanne Pierre PaulinLots of Maries and Louises there.
