I think clothing. The shops ruined it as a name, otherwise it would've been okay.

I like Zara! Its freash without being weird. I don't think of the clothes. No difference than using Levi to me. I asked a while ago about Zara and the reviews weren't great. I struggled making a combo.

Love it. Better than Sara. Strong sounding but feminine. Slightly exotic but still sensible.

I really like this name and also the Zahra version, which is slightly different. Zahrah (zaa-HUH-ruh) would be my fave though, as it has such a pretty meaning.

I do think of the clothing store, but I really like the name anyway! I think of Zara Phillips as well. I don't think either of those associations is negative. I like Zara Rosamund.

I really like Zara. Exotic and beautiful but not too out-there.

Not a very pleasant sound, and in general it's a show-offy name given by "Look at us being daring and original" parents. Fine on a ramp model, perhaps, but not on a bus driver.

It reminds me too much of the clothing brand...

First impression: It's an awful lot like Sara, and seems like an elaboration of it to me.
After reading the entry: So, eventually anyway, it means 'blooming flower,' or 'God remembers.' I like the meanings, but I still don't like the name that much.
