[Opinions] Nicknames for Faramir
Can you all think of any nicknames for a man named Faramir? It's for a character, and I'm positive I'm not going to change it but I'd like him to have a nickname from when he was a boy. I've come up with Fars and Fam so far, but neither really fit. Can you all help me come up with some more? ************

Amir is the first thing to come to mind but, if you aren't wanting a "real" name tied to a specific culture, maybe Fram, pronounced "FRAHM", similar to Bram for Abraham? Ram "RAHM" or Rami "RAHM-mee"?

What bugs me about Faramir is precisely the absence of nicknames. Farrah and Mir are both gender-benders and anything else seems forced.

I wouldn't use Fars, since it sounds like 'farce'..I'd naturally say "Fara" or "Fare/Far".

Faro (like pharaoh) is all that comes to mind.

That means 'lighthouse' in SpanishIt's sort of a GP of mine as a boys name. Would be perfect if the character is a red-head :D

As in brother to Boromir (Tolkien)? What about Rama (like Rama and Sita)? Though I like Faro as others have mentioned below.

I'd probably just go for Fara or Mir/Amir. Most likely Fara. Maybe Ramir or something else with the Ram sound? Faram? Idk, I still like Fara. It might look girly, but I can totally see it on a dude.

That might be hard. Fara and Miri sound too girly. Faro might work.Is he named after Faramir from LOTR?
