What is the origin of the name Froeliger? It sounds possibly German to me, but I honestly don't know, and I can't find any information on it through Google. This was the last name of my father's real father (my father never knew him, was adopted later by his stepdad). I'm interested in the history and origin of this surname to learn more about my own ancestry.
