Isolde just makes me think "is old", which isn't a name most women would embrace longterm. And in a combo it seems like a sentence: Susannah is old. :( Sorry.I do really like Susannah though!Three boys nappin', one mama namenerdin'

ditto!Just what I was going to say. The soundalike is as bad as Dorcas and worse than Beryl - and harder to overlook than Isabel, because for a person to be a bell is nonsense but "is old / older" could actually apply to a person. Even with that aside, it just feels itchy and crooked to me ... I dislike it the same way that I dislike Edna and Agnes and even Ingrid.
