Ali and Tess welcome a baby boy! He has ginger hair, like his mother, and hazel eyes. They name him:
DS: Frederick Oscar Ingram-Swift "Freddie"

Ali and Tess have a another baby boy. Two babies in two years means a lot of work but they hope the small age gap will mean the boys will be close. He has dark ginger, auburn-ish hair and grey eyes. They name him:
DS: Ezra Morgan Ingram-Swift

Another baby! They weren't planning on having a baby for some time but that's the way the cookie crumbles (or dice rolls). Nevertheless, they are frilled to bits to be having another boy... well, Tess was kind of wishing for a girl but she's just glad he's happy and healthy. He has ginger hair like his brother but he has Ali's distinct green eyes. They name him:
DS: Rowan Henry Ingram-Swift

Living in London with three young boys is a very expensive undertaking, meaning Ali and Tess have wanted to move out of the city for a while. So when Ali gets offered the post as Head of Science at a school near Guildford they seize on the opportunity and move south to a house in the Surrey countryside.

After only a year living in their new home the Swift-Ingram's move to New Zealand. Tess' father lives there and his health has steadily been getting worse. Tess wanted to be closer to him and for the boys to know their grandfather. So they pack up and move across the globe. Ali is able to find work teaching, although not in as high a position up the ladder as he was, Ezra and Rowan are happy with the change and love the new landscapes they can get out and play on. Freddie however, who had started school in England is very upset to be leaving his friends and having to go to a new school.

On there way back from school Freddie hears mewing whilst walking. To Tess's displeasure he runs off in search of the sound and finds a small black and white trapped in some barbed wire. They take him to the vets to be checked and he appears to be feral. Freddie begs his parents to let him keep the cat and they give in. He's called:
Dcat: Spartacus

y7: Two random events: Pet & Unexpected Pregnancy
Ezra and Rowan are jealous. Spartacus is happy living with the family but he only really shows any affection towards Freddie, ignoring the other two boys. Ezra and Rowan complain that it isn't fair so as a shared Christmas present Tess and Ali adopt a dog for their youngest boys hoping that they will share the responsibility of looking after him. They bring home a two year old, black Staffy Bull Terrier called:
Ddog: Jody
Tess and Ali are surprised to find Tess is three months pregnant and expecting their first girl! She has light blonde hair and her dad's green eyes. They name her:
DD: Phoebe Elinor Ingram-Swift

Tragically a very close friend of Tess and Ali's dies leaving her twin daughters who are only 4 years old. Having no immediate family remaining in New Zealand before she died their friend asked Tess and Ali if they would become her daughters' guardians. The girls have dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.

After several years as a science teacher Ali applies for a position as Headmaster. he doesn't expect anything to come from it but to his surprise he is offered a job as Deputy Head - not the role he applied to but nonetheless still a promotion. The extra money coming in come in handy with this many children in one house.
Tess' dad had been declining for some years now but things have taken a turn for the worse and it looks like he won't last much longer. Therefore, Tess' brother Frank has returned to New Zealand to be with his dad. Until he gets a place of his own Frank is staying with the Ingram-Swifts, hopefully for not too long as the house is already too busy. But Tess is happy to have family around her at this time.

One day a young cat appears at the back door. Rowan spies her and starts feeding her scraps, this continues for several weeks until the little cat boldly walks in and makes herself at home. Rowan loves her and is happy he finally has his own pet, just for him. Ali and Tess allow her to stay but Spartacus isn't too happy about this new arrangement. The new cat is a tortoiseshell female Rowan names:
DCat: Bilbo*
*Ali did try to explain that the cat was a female so perhaps Bilbo wasn't the best name for a girl but Rowan insisted. She's also answers to "Billie".
