[Opinions] Rheua
Well, my name isn't particularly common, but the spelling is almost unheard of. It's Rheua, and I wish I had a nickel for every time it's been mispronounced. Everyone I meet thinks it's ROO-uh or re-YOO-uh. It's NOT! It's pronounced like Rue/Roo. (I am told it is French.) It causes A LOT of confusion, but I rather enjoy that as I find it funny. (I know. I'm wierd.) I love my first name. (My six middle names are a different story.) Do you like it? Have you ever known a Rheua? Would you ever use it? Feel free to answer honestly; I am not easily offended!~Rheua Marie~

No, I've never met a Rheua or seen the name before but a google search shows quite a few people with the name and it also appears to be in use as a surname. Didn't come across any origin information. To me, it does look like "ROO-uh". If it didn't have the "a" on the end, I would guess it might be "ROO". Sound-wise, I do enjoy Ruth, and Rue as a nickname or middle name. Do I like it? Can't honestly say the spelling is apealing to me but I'm game to let it simmer a while and see if I become accustomed. I've recently warmed to Gertrude, so you never know. Would I use it? If it were to grow on me and become a favorite, I might consider it as a middle name but, no, I would not consider using it as a first name because the pronunciation is so counterintuitive for English-speakers. I would also want to have an idea of the meaning of the name, if it is known, before deciding whether to use it.ETA: Did a little more googling. I recognize the component "Rheu" as "ROO" because of terms like "Rheumatoid", "Rheumatic", etc, so I searched on just that component rather than your full name. Haven't come across a meaning yet, but I do see that Le Rheu is a place in France.

It's a pretty name, but not something I'd name a child.

First off, love your name. I've never heard of Rheua, but I know the general name from the Hunger Games. I would probably spell it without the 'a' (because it would make me say Rue-uh), but it's a name I would use! :)

I don't have much of an opinion on your first name, but Exxie is interesting. Is there a story behind that?

Exxie is the name of an old family friend from before my time. I actually like all of my middle names, but I have TOO DARN MANY!
