Why does it matter if the name is popular in the US or not?
And yes, many Americans did like the names Brittany and Courtney, but they peaked in the late 70s early 80s. So while the names are a bit dated, they are not by any means trailer trash names. And by insinuating they are, well, it only shows your level of class.
While I like many names that are popular in the UK, Poppy is not one of them. I find it too be too juvenile and cutesy for my taste.
